Prayer Group and the West Island
It’s so amazing when God opens doors for us to do his work. The last couple of weeks have been a great example of how God has done just that for Nicola in her work here.
Yesterday the ministry team gave the ok for Nicola to run a weekly prayer group which can pray for the needs of the Church (Something Nicola has been longing for since we got here). There’s obviously a lot of work to be done in gathering a team who are committed but it’s great to see the first steps taken. I’m confident that the group will complement Nicola’s new role working with the homeless and that God is leading her work here in a way that’ll grow her.
Meanwhile I am continuing to work with youth and media teams. I’ve also moved in with our lead pastor (and family) on the West Island which is simply fantastic. The whole family have been so welcoming, not least their rather over enthusiastic dog ‘Georgie’. They also have a ps3! Wooop!
All in all, we’re having fun!
