It’s been just over 3 weeks since we arrived in Montreal and (to some extent) we are settling in nicely. Nicola has been “working” with the kids ministry team. She has made a cactus sign, dressed up as Pogo the bright orange bear, read several thousand children’s christmas jokes and is looking to adopt most of the 4s and 5s (“There such good colour inners!”).
My work so far has been dominated by the upcoming Christmas production called “The Hope | L’espoir”. It seems like most of the media for the production has been planned using the phrase “When Andy arrives…”, I’ve been loving getting stuck in with it and have honed my skills in the process.
Last week saw the long awaited return of an annual event called “Nicola’s Birthday | Nicola Anniversaire”. To celebrate we went out skating with a few people we’ve met. Obviously us Brits put the Canadians to shame with our ‘Mad Skills’ but I think they enjoyed themselves despite the obvious embarrassment.
Thanks For Reading Along, We’ll try not to take so long to do the next one.
Andy & Nicola
FunFact2: Of the Canadians sampled, none had heard of Mince Pies, Mulled Wine, ‘I wish it could be Christmas everyday’ or David Cameron.
